Jan Ozer Back by popular demand!
Jan is a consultant, on-line community guru and author of Publishing Digital Video and PC Magazine Guide to Digital Video. Ozer will bring real-world examples and checklists for encoding into Flash® and Windows Media® formats.
In 1994, Jan started writing on digital video related topics for CD-ROM Professional (now EventDV by way of EMedia) and PC Magazine, and started teaching seminars in digital video production for North Carolina's Institute of Academic Technology. In 1995, Jan published his first book, Video Compression for Multimedia with Academic Press, followed by Publishing Digital Video in 1997 for the same publisher.
Since then, Jan has taught video production seminars in the U.S. and abroad, both on a private consulting basis and for various academic institutions, most recently the University of Wisconsin. He started The Digital Media Dude in late 2006 as a blog, mainly, to write about new media. Then he created his first podcast, The Digital Media Dude Daily Tip now known as Digital Media Quick Tips which got picked up by iTunes in the Top 25. By late 2007, The Digital Media Dude officially became a network of shows and in early 2008 it was renamed to Pixel Heads Network.
With over 15 years of experience in the digital media industry, including gigs with NBC, Walt Disney Imagineering, Toyota and having a couple of "dot com" companies under his belt, he has plenty of knowledge to share. Ron Lindeboom Ron is multi-talented on both sides of the brain!
Ron's background ranges from sales and marketing to corporate finance management and consulting. He has consulted with some of the biggest names in the high tech arena. He is also an artist and designer with a real appreciation for the Net and other new media technologies.
Ron is an animator/compositor and editor whose background includes working with Media 100, Scitex Sphere, Avid Xpress Elite, Adobe After Effects and Premiere. Along with web tools he also uses many other tools and plug-ins. He has been featured in numerous articles in magazines such as MacWEEK, The Net, Videography and SatVision, among others. He has been a guest on high tech-related TV shows like "Window on Wall Street" and "CyberVision."
He and his wife, Kathlyn, worked on each of the first two volumes of Artbeats "ReelFire" and "ReelExplosions" stock footage series -- which have since been used in major movies like Spawn, Star Trek "Insurrection", Starship Troopers and many others. Anyone watching The Learning Channel, History Channel or many other cable networks sees these effects daily.
