Need gritty downtown shots? Check! Upscale Victorian mansion? Check! Old-west ghost town? Check! Snow-coved peaks to marshy swamps to desert flatlands? Check, check, and check!
But as a professional, how do you legally and safely gain access to some of San Diego's best locations? And just as important, how do you find the hidden treasures that are going to give your project the perfect look and feel? At this month's MCA-I meeting, Kathy Mccurdy - Director of Feature Films at the San Diego Film Commission and Professional Location Managers Roberto de Biase and Josh Oliver - owner of JFO Productions will give presentations on how to find great locations, how much you can expect to spend on locations, when permits are necessary (hint: almost always), the process of getting permits, and why it is critical to your business and your clients to get the location process right!
