- Are you confused by all the different high-def formats out there today?
- Do you need to switch from standard definition? Should you?
- Do your clients need HD?
- Are you confused about 1080i vs. 720p?
- Are solid state formats confusing – like SDHC, P2, Compact Flash, or SxS?
- What about using a new digital still camera to shoot video – like the Canon 5D Mark II or 7D?
- Is your computer beefy enough to handle HD? Do you need a RAID? CCD or CMOS?
- How can you hold a small HD camera and manage to keep it steady?
MCA-I NJ’s March meeting offers some answers to the many questions about HD.
Dave Hall of Davideo Multimedia, LLC and Dan Bitcon of Bitcon Productions will discuss all things HD.
Check out lots of HD cameras like the Panasonic AG-HPX300 & HMC150, Sony EX-1, JVC GY-HD200U and the Canon 7D. We’ll also have a Blu-ray player and HD displays to watch footage shot and edited in HD, as well as comparisons between different frame rates. Do not fear 24P! There will be plenty of HD eye candy as well!
Who should attend: Producers, shooters, engineers and other technically-oriented professionals who are interested in moving into the next generation of video.
Also, anyone from all aspects of visual communications interested in our industry’s fast-approaching future
The March meeting will be webcast (at www.mca-inj.org), but you’ll really want to be there in person to:
- appreciate the visual impact of HD
- learn about it in practical situations, and
- discover which version of the technology works for you.
