Developing partnerships is essential to our ongoing efforts to provide added benefits and services for our members and to unify the media communications industry. Rather than re-invent the wheel, MCA-I is aggressively seeking associations, government agencies, universities, colleges and corporations with whom we may work to provide media communications professionals with a full complement of resources, services, professional development opportunities and other benefits needed to succeed in a highly competitive environment. We seek partnerships that enable MCA-I to leverage our assets and those of our partners.
To further guide these efforts, the Association is preparing - for completion this year - an extensive study of the industry and our membership to define the changes and direction of the media communications profession. Economic factors and the convergence of technologies have tremendously impacted the profession and industry. Many traditional boundaries have changed, broadening the industry and placing added demands on our professional members. This intensifies the critical need for the latest and most accurate data. We will disseminate and continue to maintain and update this information - adjusting to the ongoing dynamics.
