The Chuck Webb Award

The Chuck Webb Award for Distinguished MCA-I Service recognizes and honors an individual who has demonstrated the highest level of involvement in, dedication and commitment to the Association without regard for personal profit or gain. It is the highest distinguished service award given by MCA-I.
As one of the founding members of our organization, Chuck Webb exhibited all these qualities and we honor his memory by recognizing those who follow the example he set.
The Qualifications
The qualifications set out in MCA-I's Policies and Procedures only hint at the contribution these individuals have made to the proud history and success of the Media Communications Association-International.
- Must be a member in good standing of MCA-I.
- Minimum of 5 years MCA-I service in an official capacity.
- Must have participated on multiple levels of the Association.
- Must have made a significant contribution to the betterment of MCA-I (start chapters, implement new programs, etc.).
- Must be a currently practicing professional, except in extraordinary circumstances.
- Must have mentored individuals within MCA-I.
- Must supply evidence of meeting the criteria as listed above (written paragraph or other supporting documentation).
The Nomination
- Candidates for the Chuck Webb award are nominated by the Board of Directors. Recommendations for candidates will be solicited from Chapter Presidents and other appropriate association leaders.
- Award recipient will be selected by a majority vote of the Board of Directors in executive session.
- Members of the Board of Directors shall be ineligible for the award during their terms of office.
- A lifetime membership to MCA-I will be presented to award recipient at the same time.
