The Importance of Categories
Your Find A Pro™ listing is worth spending a little time and creative thought. It's important that you optimize your listing for Search Engines by composing your Description using appropriate key words. Say who you are and what you do. If you are what you say you are, then trust that Google will find you. Then, you can obsess over selecting appropriate Categories and Subcategories. First, you might want to take a quick look at all the existing Find A Pro™ Directory Categories that people have selected for their listings.
When you actually "Add a Pro Listing", you will see the complete list of available Categories and Sub Categories in the drop down boxes. If you do not find a Category or Sub Category that is right for you, please let us know. We will continually "tweak" Categories to clarify your position in the industry.

PLEASE NOTE: It is very important that you comply with Search Engines rules by not creating multiple listings that are considered "copies" or your listing will be rated negatively. Negative ratings will also reflex on mca-i.org and Tendenci.
Here's an example of distinguishing multiple listings. If you need to create an identity listing for your company AND want to list yourself as a free-lancer, then title the listings differently! and customize your description to fit with the Category and Subcategory...without "cut-and-paste" content. Specifically, use words in the description that enhance and support the Category and Subcategory that you have chosen for each listing.
