San Diego MediaPro Camp set for February 6, 2010

You’re invited to a very special event for media professionals: The first-ever San Diego MEDIA PRO CAMP presented by the San Diego chapter of Media Communications Association -Intl. This informative, interactive event will be held Saturday, Feb 6th at the Art Institute of San Diego. (http://www.artinstitutes.edu/sandiego/) in Mission Valley.

MediaProCamp is an all day gathering of media professionals representing every discipline: acting and performing, producing and directing; creative and technical ...and representing every medium: Film, TV, Radio; Internet, games, business video, audio and more.

Philip Hodgetts (http://www.philiphodgetts.com/) is keynote speaker and guest host. Philip is the creator of Digital Production Buzz, was co-host and managing editor of DV Guys, and author of The New Now and HD Survival Handbook 2009-2010, Creative COW contributing editor (creativecow.net), and creator of the Intelligent Assistance. (http://www.intelligentassistance.com/).

MediaProCamp consist of open roundtable discussions on any subject the participants choose--with multiple breakout sessions every half hour or so. This format, lifted from the IT industry (Silicon Valley) is intensely productive and provides for fabulous networking. It's an exciting cross-pollination of useful ideas, techniques and information.  Interactivity among all of the participants guarantees a powerful experience for everyone. Bring your personal expertise (everybody contributes) and plenty of questions. Laptops are useful – but optional. You can create a topic for discussion and form a group... or sit in on any group/any topic you choose.

This ground-breaking event is being presented by the San Diego Chapter of the MCA-I. The Media Communications Association-International (MCAI) is a non-profit 501c 3 charity with chapters in 27 US cities and three countries.

Please join us on Saturday February 6th at the San Diego Art Institute in Mission Valley for this first-of-it's-kind event in San Diego. MediaProCamp is FREE but you do have to register in advance so we have enough coffee and food to go around.
