VO Peeps / MCA-i Scholarship Fund Ready To Give First Award - Mar 20, 2012 press release or news release

(March 2012) After only 3 months, the Career Educational Scholarship Fund (CESF,) jointly established by VO Peeps and the LA/OC Chapter of MCA-i has announced it is accepting applications for its first-ever award. May 1 is the application deadline. The First Annual Scholarship will be awarded on May 15 to one deserving Voiceover professional and will consist of a special VIP Registration to the VOICE 2012 convention in June.

VOICE 2012 convention Executive Producers James R. Alburger & Penny Abshire have generously donated one Full VIP Registration for the Voice Over International Creative Experience in Anaheim, CA from June 13-16, 2012 to the VO Peeps MCA-I Career Education Scholarship Program! “We’re extremely grateful for this donation worth $900,” said Anne Ganguzza, founder of the VO Peeps and a member of MCA-i’s LA/OC Chapter. “Not only will it make a positive difference to the career of a deserving VO artist, it is an important building block to establish the CESF so we can continue to help struggling voice professionals.”

Most everyone who has attended one of the three previous VOICE conventions will tell you the energy is "electric" and the experience of this "unconventional convention" is... "life changing!" This year's VOICE 2012 program features nearly three dozen programs and seminars taught by top VO coaches and talent, two huge networking events, tons of free time to make new VO friends and hang with old friends, Positive Thinkers and other special events, the traditional "Bunny Slippers" morning on Saturday, and the big finale VOICE Banquet with a very special program to wrap up the convention.

The VO Peeps / MCA-I Career education Scholarship Fund provides both need and merit-based scholarships to working voice-over artists, as well as those new to the business. Scholarship winners are chosen by a board of industry professionals on the basis of financial need, personal circumstances, achievements, educational goals, and the likely impact of the scholarship on their lives.
